幼児期～児童期は人生の中でも運動能力の発達において非常に重要な時期です。
また、脳重量においては成人の約90％に及ぶ重量はこの時期に形成されます。

実はこの時期には、特定の競技で子どもたちの運動バリエーションを制限してしまうのではなく、幅広いスポーツの種目を越えたプレイ重視の運動を経験させることの方が重要です。

バルシューレは120種類を越えるボールゲームを通して様々な体の動きを経験するプログラムであり、児童期の発達的特徴に合わせた運動教育になっています。

習い事として特定の種目・競技の教室やクラブチーム等に参加をさせると、当然その目的は「競技力の向上」になります。そして、「競技力の向上」を目的とするからこそ、特定の運動パターンの反復練習となり、運動のバリエーションが制限されてしまうのです。

バルシューレは、基礎運動能力を高めるための動きを取り入れた120種類を超えるボールゲームを通して、様々な体の動きを体験します。また、バルシューレの認定資格を持った指導者は、技術指導をせず、ゲームの中で「どうやったらうまくやれるか」を子供達自身に考えさせ、自発的に探究していく環境作りを行います。

子ども達が夢中になって体を動かす過程で“基礎運動能力”と“自発性”を高める。
これが、バルシューレに取り組む目的です。
